Wooooooow! You've come a long way sence High school. I am realy proud of what you have accopmplished in the past 10 years. You let me know that dreams can realy come true. Everyone always knew you were going to make it in the NFL, an it feels like the whole city of richmond is there with you. Im the son of a preacher man, but it sounds like you trying to get your "pastor on" lol. They were real good prayers and I was suprised, because i never heard you sound like that. Keep up the good work and god bless you.

Hey!
I hope you don't take this wrong, I have been a loyal Seahawks fan since watching my first Seahawks game against the Raiders in the Kingdome back in 1982, and I love my 'Hawks. I've bled blue through all the bad seasons and the all too few glorious games,...that said, I feel that this "negotiation," so far, has not even come close to any genuine effort to reach a reasonable agreement and return to play. The owners are undoubtably guilty of some greed, but what's new or surprising about that, they are big business owners! The player attitudes (not all, and not that I've seen from you at all) is a different matter however, and if a player earning the league minimum makes a third of a million dollars a year in a base salary (and they go way up from there for the majority of players) feels like they aren't making enough to live and save for a retirement over the 10-15 years of their career, then perhaps we've all let this go way further than what is reasonable. If this season collapses, I expect the NFL in general will collapse as I, and a great many other lifetime fans find other ways to spend our limited time and money. And I guarantee you that this won't be more than a financial hiccup for most NFL owners, but for the players and coaches, that's it, if the fans leave its over. I love my 'Hawks, but in these tough economic times and with an entire globally linked planet to choose from for entertainment, the players need to think very carefully about what they may be giving up and about who they are letting speak in their name, because I am sure that the big name players that seem to be at the front of the player's side of the issue, have enough money invested that they would walk away from a voided season (and potentially vacated league) much better off than the vast majority of the players.

Mike,

Just wanted to say I thought you did a fabulous job doing color commentary for the Blue White game this year. You bring a unique perspective and your commentary is insightful, concise and unique.

I wish Penn State had a guy on this team that brought the fire, intensity and leadership of Michael Robinson. I am hoping young Rob Bolden will stay and give that to the Nittany Nation.

Best of luck,

Wayne

Mike,
I think what the owners are asking is a little crazy and I think there needs to be some concessions given by both sides. It is really hard to feel bad for you, the players, when we here stuff about how playing in the NFL is the equivalent of slavery (A. Peterson) and how that the NFL is not right in it's desire to police players out of the season because it's not in their contract (Bennett, San Diego Chargers). I hate to say it but I think that a court is going to have to order the owners to disclose their finacnes, something that the owners should have been willing to do from the start. The players have made it very clear that they are willing to give back if it's needed and if the owners want some money back...then SHOW how they need it!! Best of luck and we hope that things get worked out quickly...you guys want to play and we want to watch you play!!

That is an eye opener. I recently received an email from Roger Goodell for all intents and purposes stating the opposite. He alleged that the players union walked away from the bargaining table and refused to negotiate. Like I had said in my tweet I am aware that these owners receive a financial benefit from everything to tix to memorabilia. And again if you own an NFL franchise you aren't hurting for money, nor do they have a finite amount of time to be in the prime of their career.
Are the health and safety issues being questioned involve the new concussion rules? As for your initial comment I really cannot agree with your more for many personal reasons that I cannot post on a public forum. If you are interested feel free to shoot me an email.
I sincerely wish you the best of luck.
